Privacy Policy — Faultline

Effective date: June 17, 2026 Last updated: June 17, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile game Faultline (“the App”, “we”, “us”) handles information. Faultline is made by CT, an independent developer. Questions? Email ctwu95@gmail.com.

The short version: Faultline does not collect, sell, or share your personal data. It plays fully offline, with no account and no tracking.

1. Information we do NOT collect

We do not require you to create an account or provide your name, email, phone number, or any personal details to play. We do not run any third-party advertising or analytics software, and we do not track you across apps or websites. The App contains no advertising identifier (IDFA) tracking.

2. Information stored only on your device

To make the game work, the App saves your progress locally on your device using Apple’s standard on-device storage. This includes things like your high scores and personal bests, unlocked avatars, settings (sound, music, haptics), tutorial completion, your Daily Challenge streak, discovered Backlog entries, and your in-app purchase status.

This information stays on your device. We cannot see it. If you delete the App, this local data is removed with it.

3. Game Center (optional)

Faultline offers an optional connection to Apple Game Center so you can post scores to global leaderboards (Ranked, Daily, and Weekly). You are asked once, and you can decline and keep playing — your scores still save locally.

If you choose to use Game Center, Apple handles your Game Center identity and the submitted scores. Apple’s use of that information is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy, not by us. We do not operate our own servers and do not receive or store your Game Center account details. To show a small avatar next to your leaderboard entry, the App attaches the index number of your chosen in-game avatar to your score — this is a cosmetic number, not personal information.

You can turn Game Center off at any time in Settings → Game Center on your device.

4. In-app purchases

Faultline is free to download and offers one optional in-app purchase, “Faultline Pro,” a one-time upgrade that unlocks additional game content. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or receive your payment card, billing address, or Apple Account details, and we operate no servers — your purchase entitlement is managed on-device by Apple’s StoreKit. Apple’s handling of purchases is covered by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

5. Children’s privacy

Faultline is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because the App collects no personal data and requires no account, there is nothing for a parent or guardian to request access to or deletion of beyond simply deleting the App. If you believe a child has somehow provided us personal information, contact ctwu95@gmail.com and we will address it.

6. Data security & retention

Because your game data lives on your own device and we operate no servers, there is no central database of user information to breach. We retain no personal data about you. On-device data persists until you delete the App or clear it from within the device.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under the EU GDPR or the California CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data a company holds about you. Faultline holds no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, or delete. Your in-game data is under your control on your device. For any Game Center data, please use Apple’s privacy tools and Apple’s Privacy Policy. We do not “sell” or “share” personal information as those terms are defined under applicable law.

8. Changes to this policy

If we add features that change how data is handled (for example, analytics), we will update this policy and revise the “Last updated” date above before those features ship. Material changes will be reflected here at the Privacy Policy URL listed on our App Store page.
